The Release Manager assigned to a project will review required project artifacts.

Purpose
The required project artifacts provide a comprehensive set of documents to ensure a smooth transition from testing phase to the implementation phase.
Relationships
Main Description

The Project Team is required by the Project Review Board (PRB), IT Governance and the Technology Change Control Board (TCCB) to create key documents to ensure all team members (project, QA, IT, and business) are ready for implementation. When complete, the documents will provide guidance such as implementation, back-out, transition, communication and training plans week 1 special procedures, and a transition support plan for post-implementation.

The Release Manager will review the project documents to ensure that, from a release perspective, they provide sufficient detail to facilitate the transition to the implementation phase.

Steps
Communicate Release Management Needs

Notifiy Project Manager of requirements to submit documentation to Release Management for review and approval where applicable

Documents must be submitted to Release Management at least 1 week before the scheduled release date, to allow adequate time for review

Review Documents and Provide Feedback
Release Management will provide feedback resulting from review
Provide Approvals
Where applicable Release Management will provide final signoff/approval
