      Main Description

      The assignment of a generic resource to the project. The PM will assign the generic Solutions Architect to the Project. Named resources will then be assigned at the Resource Allocation Meeting.

      Steps
      PM requests Solution Architect Resources
      Attend the Resource Allocation Meeting
      Determine Request Type
      1. Review request information
      2. Gather additional information as necessary
      3. Determine if Consulting, Project, or Technology Acquisition work is required
      Assign Solution Architect
      Communicate assignment to the Project Manager
      PM adds resource(s) to Project Team
      Prepare and Provide Effort Estimate to PM
      1. Analyze Concept Phase Artifacts to identify vulnerabilities with the proposed approach.
      2. Determine the scope of involvement in the project.
      3. Communicate how much effort is required to the Project Manager. Revise effort estimates, as needed, throughout the course of the project.
      Develop Tasks for Project Schedule and communicate to PM
