Individual responsible for overseeing the Transition Services resources and acting as a liaison between IT Support teams, project teams, other business teams and the Service Center.

Main Description

The Transition Services Manager collaborates with business, project and support teams to ensure that the Service Center is adequately prepared to support new IT applications or systems. The Transition Services Manager verifies that all new application or system support work transitioning into the Service Center is tracked, documented and communicated in a consistent manner to the Service Center team.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Oversee and manage Transition Services resources
  • Oversee Transition Services programs, services and processes
  • Participate in documentation reviews
  • Participate in project specific Lessons Learned as necessary

Skills
  • ITIL V3 and COBIT standards knowledge preferred
  • Familiarity with project management approaches along with the tools and phases of the project lifecycle
  • Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Experience and knowledge of Incident and Problem management principles and methodologies
  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills
  • Excellent active listening skills
  • Strong analytic and decision making abilities
