      The creation of the OpenUP Inventory for a Future State Process by determining the Tasks, Roles and Work Products utilized throughout the process. The Process Engineer builds the inventory to assist content developers in elaborating the requirements.
      Steps
      Build Inventory

      Determine all Tasks, Roles and Work Products that are associated with the Future State Process. To build the inventory, refer back to the UML Process diagrams for each task. It is recommended to build inventories by:

      1. Defining the task
      2. For each task, identify
        • the role(s) performing the work
        • the inputs required to complete the task
        • outputs resulting from a complete task
        • any guidnace for the task, the roles, inputs, or output
      3. For any element, refer to its name using a standard naming convention
