Guideline: Effort Estimator

The domain lead or manager will fill out the required fields in the estimator to generate an estimate of time and FTE costs.

First, the domain lead or manager will fill in the details for the project estimation in the tab named “Resource Estimate Worksheet.” The worksheet is marked by project phase. The first section to be filled in will typically be in the Initiation phase, and should include specific tasks and full or part-time estimates.

Continue filling in the estimates for later phases (Planning, Execution, Closure). The estimator will calculate the numbers and present them in the tab named “Resource Estimate Summary.”

Once completed, submit the estimate to the project management team.
